Free Health Screenings and Education
  • Foot Assessment and Massage:  A nurse will evaluate your feet, answer questions, and provide a gentle minute massage. Be good to your feet!

  • Dermascan Screening/Sun Safety:  A test is done that uses special imaging to show facial skin damage that is invisible to the naked eye. Learn how to protect your skin!

  • Flu Vaccine:  Doctors recommend flu shots for most patients. The cost of the flu shot is generally covered under Medicare, Medicaid, and many private health insurance programs, so please bring your insurance information with you. 

  • Blood Pressure Check:  Learn your blood pressure to avoid risk of uncontrolled high blood pressure levels, which can lead to serious cardiovascular issues.

  • Vision Screening:  The Peterborough Lion's Club will check your vision.  A vision screening is done to identify those with possible vision problems.  Vision screening results may indicate a need for further assessment.

  • Cholesterol:  A finger stick blood test to determine total and HDL (good) levels of cholesterol. Abnormal cholesterol is a danger that should be addressed to prevent heart disease and stroke.

  • Glucose & Diabetes Screening:  A blood test to screen for abnormal or high blood sugar levels, which can be dangerous.

  • Spirometry:  A respiratory therapist will assess your lung function by performing a simple breathing test, explain your test results and make recommendations for next steps.

  • Behavioral Health Task Force:  Be the Change – our community Behavioral Health Task Force will be providing information regarding substance use and mental health support and services, as well as NARCAN training every half hour on the half hour and will be providing free NARCAN Kits for all who attend the training.


  • Posture and Spine Care:  Your posture will be assessed to see if any spine care is needed.

  • Voice and Movement Therapy for Parkinson's/Voice Screening:  Information will be provided on current state of the art speech and physical therapy for Parkinson’s Disease available from the Outpatient Rehabilitation Department at MCH.  Voice screening will be available. 


  • Deep Roots Massage Therapy:  Massage therapy helps people reduce stress, recover from injury, reduce chronic pain and enhance sports performance.
     

  • Falls and Balance Screening:  A physical therapist will determine your risk of falling.

Monadnock Healthy Teeth to Toes:  Bring the entire family! Enjoy kid-friendly activities planned by Monadnock Healthy Teeth to Toes! MHTTT will be featuring dental information, but it's not just about teeth! We'll have nutritional recipes and goodies, local dentists’ information, tips on proper oral care and wellness.  The purpose of MHTTT is to teach children and their families about healthy choices that will support a healthy lifestyle.  Using an interactive educational program, MHTTT focuses on proper oral hygiene and dental care, healthy eating, and physical activity.  MHTTT partners with 22 schools in the Monadnock Region to educate children about wellness through the expertise of our Registered Dental Hygienist and Nutritionist.
